Overview
The Workshop Chairs of ONDM 2027 invite the academic, research, and industrial communities to submit proposals for Workshops and Special Sessions on Optical Networks, to be held in parallel with the main conference track. These activities aim to address emerging topics, recent advances, open challenges, and innovative applications in optical networking. Workshops and Special Sessions will be based on invited contributions only, with their organizers responsible for identifying, inviting, and coordinating the speakers and contributions. The activities should include an initial round of individual invited presentations (10-15 minutes) followed by a panel discussion.

- Diversity, education, and skills for the future optical networking community.
Submission Instructions
By 27 November 2026, interested organizers should submit the following:
- Tentative title and acronym
- Name and affiliation of activity organizers.
- Scope and Motivation (~200 words) describing the topic and contribution.
- Intended duration: Workshop (half-day: 2x 2h sessions) or Special Session (2h session)
